SOLVENT-BASED PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE

Description

Corkjoint CJ-300 Adhesive Solvent-Based Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is a premium quality solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesive, formulated to bond a variety of common materials. It is for sprayable and brushable viscosity, short tack time, is easy-to-apply and offers superior bonding strength and cost savings. This product is part of our Sealing Systems product range.

Uses

Corkjoint CJ-300 suitable for bonding rubber, cork and closed-cell polyethylene to concrete surfaces.

Application

1. Stir adhesive thoroughly before use.

2. Apply one coating only of the adhesive to the surface that the material is to be bonded to with a dry, clean, brush, roller, or spray gun to give a uniform coating.

3. Ensure adequate ventilation during application.

4. Allow the solvents to evaporate until adhesive film is “tacky” or “touch dry”. It will take between 10 to 20 minutes depending upon the surface porosity and the weather conditions.

5. Position the product accurately before installing, and upon installation, apply an even pressure to the installed material to consolidate the bond. A firm hand pressure or a pressure roller can be used.

6. Full bond strength is usually obtained within 24 to 36 hours, depending upon the ambient temperature.

Storage & Shelf Life

• Highly flammable, store in a dry and cool place below a temperature of +30°C and keep away from all sources of heat and sunlight.

• The shelf life is 12 months in an unopened condition and if stored as per recommendations.
